TBH I think this morde thing will work

One of the heaviest issues with taking an ADC top was that you always had an ADC bot too. Having morde be the first of a "duo bot bruiser" design opens up other lanes for ADC to actually exist in. They have been the meta since season 1 in the duo bot lane. The whole point of this is to add some sort of diversity to the bot lane, and I think it'll work.

Sure, on paper you think you can out harass morde as an adc by poking him, until you realize that he's just going to smash your face in while mitigating damage with his shield. I have seen lanes like this work before, with deadly effiency. Such as volibear/riven, or leona/rengar. There is powerful kill lane potential with this, especially if morde gets any sort of damage at all. Give him a gunblade? He suddenly got a slow and is about to maul your face in. Give him a bork? will still probably maul your face. Like seriously, it would be a shame if something were to flash in and delete your carry every 3 minutes.
