(Akali main) Akali revert/rework

Seeing as the new akali is my 4th most played champ on this account, and my most played on my previous account(mentioned later). I'm not here to complain about her. In fact, I love the akali rework, but I am still missing the old akali. Granted, the old akali was more of a stat check champion, I would enjoy if her old q was a skill shot that could go through minions, but keep her point and click ult (that way she can't just be ahri with better damage/escape from anything)

Akali was one of the first champions I had played when I started loving this game in s1/s2. At that time I played on my old account all the way to season 4, took a break to deal with irl stuff and came back in season 6/7 went on another break due to a resurgance of the problems mentioned before. Came back in October of season 8 on a smurf account that I was using to climb without akali in the previous seasons 6 and 7, and realized my baby had been reworked. I've played the new Akali on this new account and have m6 with 50,000 mastery points, and a positive winrate in recent games this season.

After researching/playing/watching, Almost every akali main before her rework, most players that had to play against old akali, and even some new akali players, want a revert. Most akali streamers/creators, Tf blade, professor akali etc. also want a revert, professor akali even made a video about it on April fools day, and said he it was getting reverted(obviously not) but sounded like he missed the old akali, saying something along the lines of "while i do enjoy playing this current akali, I grew up playing the single target q, 3 ult dashes and it would be a blast olaying her again" although she would stat check, her old abilities(other than e) were single target, making it much harder to kill multiple people at a time, like this new akali. An assassin should be able to get in kill 1, sometimes 2 people and potentially get out. This new akali can use her e on shroud, use r1 to get to the fight/engage, use a full q aa r2 aa and reuse the second part of e and be out, at this time akali probably had killed 1 or 2 of the enemy players, and is guaranteed an escape of the fight, assuming she doesnt get cc'd mid air.

Although I enjoy this new akali, I don't feel the want/need to play her as much in ranked, due to her bad Winrate and how weak she is, so I have turned to other champs, like ap neeko and kindred.

A revert to akali would be nice, and another point I have is: just cause they stat check, doesnt mean they are bad. For instance, if a champion is too strong because of their true stealth, healing, damage, and utilty, its hard to balance. But if her stats are overturned, one quick nerf will solve the whole problem. There is a reason everyone always looks back at season three and below, its because it was more fair to play against because there was more statchecking, and was balanved around that, a league of legends with multiple champions that are built to outplay people, and multiple that are outdated, is hard to balance because the champions who can out outplay, need to be weak in order for the old champs to thrive. Everyone complains about riot doing band-aid fixes, for champions that need to be weak because they are blatantly better than most champs when they are have equal stats(sylas, akali, irelia, azir, zed, vayne, etc.) Irelia and akali were/still are overpowered because of their kit, not really the stats.

In the end, I love riot, I wanna work there when I finish college, because this is the game I've played for almost 10 years, I fell in love with the game, amd I still love it to this day, I'm gonna enjoy playing it until the day one of us(me or the game) dies. Because I love it, the only thing that couls make it more fun for me is playing old akali, she wasn't a balancing nightmare, she had counter play/picks and was enjoyed by a decent portion of the community. Akali, has been and will be one of if not my favorite champions.

   Sincerely,
             1nebula1

I stopped playing Akali since the rework. Waste of level 7 skill. All that time put playing that champ and riot did a rework. other than the shroud (which is not 100% the same) everything is different. Why didn't Riot just create it as a new champ and leave Akali alone?

I made a mistake in my vote....meant to click revert, I clicked rework.

Did this with Kat too and urgot. Some of the reworks are good. Evelyn, Taric. But if they change drastically, just make a new champ. Those come out every friggen week, honestly. So now I have a level 5 Kat I never play anymore lol.

revert is needed. I decided to keep playing akali after rework because I didn't like anyone else. But honestly ive had enough. Riot took away the only champion I had extreme amounts of fun playing (even when losing games was still having fun... GOOD SIGN). And then, just nerfed the only champion I semi enjoy playing (current akali). Ive had enough, there are so many reasons, facts, and statistics why she needs a revert that I don't feel like typing right now (you pointed a few of them out), riot just has to see these and revert her even if it means putting more work in because they changed all her visuals too. Btw dude I'm trying to get akali mains / regular players that want a revert and make a joined ultimate revert akali post. Its gonna be like a formal post with reasons facts statistics and maybe even a petition that we have already sent around and made it viral so there are enough signatures for riot to consider the revert. Formal meaning like not just some kid begging for a revert and saying reasons too. "please riot revert" - none of that. Just no nonsense allowed. Hard facts. Petition. Reply and lmk if ur down to help out. Its gonna need work tho so have to be willing to possibly even research statistics and shit. but lmk thanks.
