Just trying to understand

Recently there has been alot of hate about Caitlyn and her kit.

Range is larger than most and it does allow trading w/o and rebuttal on the other team. I get that.

What I don't understand is the hate around her W. know the dmg it can do i have played the champ before. But the difference is that the traps aren't as strong as I think that the community believes it to be. For me Cait's traps are either placed in bushes right where you walk into and when an enemy champ is stuck for an extended period of time. For the speed of the game (talking about setting for teamfights and how long they usually progress for the avg. game) the speed and longevity of the traps seems withing the right area for the identity she is. If it was not ans hard hitting, then the her "sniper attitude wouldn't be true since hitting a stationary target will result in more dmg that a moving target. Also if the traps didn't stay as long then she will be a sniper with no "cover", which is a ded sniper.
For me i try to avoid going into bushes and be caught by Caitlyn's teamates if i think she is to be within the area. I believe the strength of the w is to be played of PREDICTABILITY, both in the player of the Caitlyn player and her fellow teammates. So i try to play unpredictably where I can.

But if you insist that the w needs to be nerfed or changed. I recommend that the w should stay the same except for the garrenteed headshot passive BUT when she hits a target that is snared from her traps it grants the same counter bonus for her headshot as if she was in a brush (2) AND if the number in which it would result in being the head shot bonus it will apply to that target.

Do i like playing against her when she is ahead no, but i don't think that her strength in the early is from the traps themselves. tell me your horror strories though because i have very few and all ahve bee before the RH changes with her passive.
