#AssistsMatter
[Support] Pyke: cant carry 5 Me: You don't need to carry us. You just need to trust us.
Noticed that I had 21 vision score to his 13.
Me: And some wards would help. :o Pyke: 3/9 [Pointing out my score.] Me: Plus 19 assists. Typical of League, a suggestion is perceived as an insult.
After the game the guy went into a full-blown tirade about how garbage I was. I praised his mechanics, stating if he'd just secure an understanding of the strategic layer of the game, he could easily be Diamond. He responds with swearing and attacks, trashing my 3/14 score.
I was 3/14/25, with 12k damage to champions (playing Tank Leona) as compared to his 15k, and a vision score of 24 to his 16. He had Relic Shield, I had a bloody trinket.
This has to stop, people. When a receiver drops 8 passes, he doesn't blame the offensive line. Why should tanks be blamed when they die a lot and get twice as many assists? We lost the game because their Vi had a disgusting build and walked through us like we were butter. We got outbuilt.
Pyke's mechanics really were good. One of the better Pykes I've seen. But the support role isn't about kills. When you end up with more kills than your carry and a lower vision score than your jungler, you're not playing your role properly. Roles are crucial to a smooth team. Assists matter. Assists mean you're helping your team succeed. They mean you're involved. They mean you're doing work.
Take pride in assists, and for heaven's sake, quit leaving them out when you're trying to make a teammate look bad.
[Edit: Downvoting myself because I wanna be in with the in crowd. Hopefully I'm cool now too.]
