Malzahar
Alright look here riot.
I have been a Malzahar player for too many seasons to put up with this horseshit. I was also one of the first people to tell you that you created a monster for the Rework. The passive was an issues and the W was insane. But you didn't listen to me then. Then you gutted his W and his Passive, we as malz players told you this was too much. Its seems like my mains are just champions you guys literally can not figure out. Ryze and Malzahar. :) Congrats
No one who is currently playing malzahar cares about losing .3 AP and 50 base damage.
If they are playing malzahar its because.
1: he is a great CC bot. Click R on any target, they are stuck their for 2.5 seconds unless they have a QSS.
2: he is a autopilot mid champion. You don't play the lane, malzahar plays the lane for you.
3: He is the current go to champion for people who don't play mid. Much like how annie used to be that champion. Its because he is easy.
How do we fix this problem?
1: Increase his Nether Grasp cooldown from 120/100/80 to 140/140/140.
- Why: This still leaves him room to go roam early game and get easy kills. But makes pick potential in the later stages of the game a little bit harder.
2: Decrease the range on Nether Grasp from 700 to 600.
- Why: Malzahar players (myself included) feel pretty safe when we flash R onto a target or are at max range when we use our ultis. Make them enter more people's ranged, this makes them hesitate more on when they want to flash/ghost engage.
3: Reward players for being good, not for waiting. Q - Added Effect: When hitting multiple enemy champions, damage is increased by 5%/10%/15%/20% based on how many people were hit.
- Why: Currently, it only feels good if I land my Q on a target that has E on them. And honestly speaking. That feels awful when I look at everyone elses hp bars after I get a 3 or 4 man Silence. ADC's life steal the damage away. Tanks don't take damage. Bruisers do. Supports Do. Mages might?.. With this change you get minor rewards for hitting a two or three man. And the damage is based on who was hit when. Rather than across the board 10% or 20%.
4: Not sure about the W. I personally hate that damn skill, but I'm also not the veteran malzahar jungler. Aquadragon would be the one to talk to about that.
5: Give us a real non-bs passive. Seriously. Cool i blocked 90% damage for .25 seconds with a spellshield.
-Why: Malz is a mid laner. (Screw all of you support malz players who abused him when he was down there) In mid its either up or down depending on the match up. Right now its actually not something that we all care about. If we can get it up, cool. But its not a valued part of our kit. No one that I have met has ever gone.
"Okay guys my passive is up in 16 seconds. I will blocked the next CC and we will win the fight." I have never seen anyone do that. Reason is because. They are all only looking for Flash+R.
Make his Passive something with movespeed for himself.
Such as Runs faster to targets with Malefic Visions on them. That would be cool. Because plenty of times I barely miss Q because of how slow I am. So I think other players would find it pretty useful as well.
