Champion Kit Discussion [Caitlyn Ult]

  • Caitlyn's Caitlyn been seeing a bit of a fall in winrate... Whether it be her lack of an attackspeed steriod or low impact ultimate, it would be a nice time to experiment with a few changes to her kit.

  • I would like to propose for the channel time of her ultimate be lowered and for it to become a skill shot, possibly with a larger or even global range.

  • It could be like a Jinx rocket where its dmg increases up to a maximium depending on distance traveled so it will truly rewards players with a sharp eye to 'snipe' out opportunities. It will still be blockable for counterplay purposes.

  • It would be interesting if the cast animation was a bit like Poppy/Jhin/Xerath for that global map feeling. However, it could also simply be like Ashe/Ezreal ultimates which is simpler and can act as a situational close ranged spell to weave between autos or global play maker.

  • While it's narrow hitbox will become counter play in itself, if additional counter play is needed, a circular indicator like a radar pulse (kind of like Jhin/Xerath ult) could give enemies a chance to react to the bullet. The indicator itself could be Caitlyn's current red gear shaped enemy lock on circle expanded outward to Xerath/global radius.

  • Another interesting mechanic could be that the longer she channels, the longer her bullet range becomes and the red indicator for enemies will expand accordingly.

  • At max range the indicator for enemies could be removed, adding an interesting twist to her ult.

What are your thoughts with this farfetched idea? Any other additional champion kit suggestions?
