Ranked Queue needs Revision
So basically they took the game from a state of "queue and play" to a state of "queue, and if you don't get your role, dodge".
The new system feels horrible. It makes climbing the ladder as multiple roles unrewarding, tedious and when you don't get the role you want, horrible. Sure you get "some" points for playing a different role then the one you want, but what you gain doesn't offset the time you have to put into a game. Its much easier to queue dodge, wait the penalty time, then re queue to get the role you want rather than invest the 20 minutes to a hour it takes to play a game.
The system is plagued by the fact that it is a penalty system that actually takes away your flexibility to play the game. If you get a role you don't want because you're "autofilled" then you're forced to invest time, energy and effort into a role you don't want/aren't good at (meaning you also have a higher chance of losing), or you can dodge and wait the penalty timer and try it again. The problem with the second option is that continuing to dodge results in greater and greater penalties. If you do accept the first option and you happen to win then great you get like 5 LP for the role you actually care about, but if you lose then you just wasted your time.
I wish Riot would bring back the original queue system and try to figured out a different, more flexible way to handle ranked. In my opinion, the current system is a step in the wrong direction and takes more away from the players then it gives.
