Let's talk about how wards DONT TAKE SKILL while SNOWBALLING the game

Lets be honest, literally everyone throws wards in the same spots anyways. Is there literally strategy to something you can read up on like an item guide? Build X, Y, Z is the same as ward A, B, C.

Does it take skill to drop a ward at dragon or baron? Nope. Does it take "strategy" to drop ward at dragon or baron? Nope.

Basically how wards work is you place them where you think fights are going to happen. Sort of like playing the lottery but under the guise of skill. You know, since you have absolutely no idea what your opponent does... All you can do is make an educated guess.

You basically drop wards around where you think fights are going to happen or your opponent will walk through.

Dropping wards around your lane... Does it take skill? Nope. Dropping wards around dragon since it's past 5 minutes in the game... Skill? Not even a chance.

Warding your opponents blue prior to 7 minutes... Does it take skill or strategy? Not really.... Warding the middle of the map through the early game... Still no skill.... Warding your opponents jungle if you're on the offensive.... Nope, no skill. Warding your jungle if you're on the defensive... Still no skill.... Warding random spots that you think your opponent might walk through.... Nope, no skill. You're literally just guessing.

Warding is methodical. You just ward where fights will likely occur. It's not even like you get punished for guessing wrong... cause your team has another 20 or so tries to get it right.... You aren't forced to choose between river and tribush.... YOU CAN WARD BOTH! There is little strategy to it. You learn the important locations and then you never need to develop any more of your thought processes towards it.

And clearing wards? Still not much skill.... Why? Cause you just clear the same spots people ward... See above. Need to do dragon? Clear ward. Need to do Baron? Clear ward. Want a gank? Clear ward.

Due to how you only get one sweep on a large cooldown, you pretty much gamble on popular warding locations. It requires even less skill than warding since you can only use one and want to use it on a key location... Dragon.

And warding snowballs the game so hard despite it taking little to no skill. It's like if every time you went back to base you completed a new item. It doesnt take skill to buy an item and it doesnt take skill to place a ward.

You don't see those key decision making points that come from playing the game like Riot supposedly wants. Do I want more burst or defense? Should I gank or farm? Should I ward here or there.... Oh that's right you can ward both places cause Riot doesn't place a value on decision making.

Guide to using wards:

  1. Always have baron (warded on spawn), dragon (warded at 5mins), and lanes warded (early game).
  2. Place in your jungle if your opponents in your jungle (tri, buff, wraith bush) and vice versa.
  3. Ward high traffic areas such as river.

Congratulations, you've literally mastered the warding game.

You should learn better warding.

There's a lot more to it than that.

I think there is just too many wards in LoL. I would decrease the amount of wards and slightly increase radius. Im not sure how to solve the biggest problem which is frankly bush's. In DotA warding is counterable by some common counterward spots which makes warding more of a support battle than just "drop them everywhere". Ofc due to bush's you just drop them in bush's and it makes counterwarding too costly and not worth it besides using lens for some objectives.

Now im not sure exactly where your going with this, if your wanting wards removed or what though >.>
