POLL: Would you rather have a GOOD TOXIC Team8, or BAD FRIENDLY Team8?

First of all: HYPOTHETICAL BINARY SCENARIO

I post this to expose how overly-sensitive and overly-censored the boards/players are. I am convinced the remaining posters here would rather lose with nice players than win with "mean words" in game chat. They don't care if a player goes 0-8, but if a player trying to carry calls them a mean word, it is the end of the world!

IMO, the actual PLAYERBASE (not represented by the overly-censored boards) would choose option 2 everytime. IMO these boards are completely out of touch with the actual players.

Hmm... I'd rather go with toxic good teammate. Just hit the mute button, play along and after the win (or maybe loss, Idk so you pick) and I'll just report the guy and probably send a support ticket and move on.

A player's friendliness isn't really my concern much and my main concern is winning. But I'd definitely would not add a good toxic player after a match but would definitely add a good player who is friendly and interactive. That way my communication would be at top quality while also gameplay is good as much as possible for me.

Honestly, i find winning way better so i choose the toxic one mostly because: -if i play as good as them, they wouldn't bully me but other people unless they are 4 prem. -I don't get the pressure of playing alone the game (the 1v5 shenaghism). -i can mute them if they bully me. -winning game have almost an higher chance of having fun compared to the loosing one. -If i'm able to add them on friend list i highly won't get any flame even if i will play bad next game because they would be busy to bully the non premade people. -if it's ranked, i have higher chance to rank up so why not take free lp. If i play with a nice attitude but bad team knowing that i've to 1v5 is not fun and bring me a lot stress and hate toward them to the point where i will hate them even tho i wouldn't write that. I would probably start to being the jerk toxic one if i loose too many game.

I choose to have a friendly but bad team. Im playing mostly for fun , my main is diamond 2 this is gold 3 i have 1 more account that is silver. Im not tryharding at all , and honestly i really hate when people flaming. They just destroying the current game by their flame. Because some1 will get offended and they will start playing badly. I had a game like this yesterday. Jungler failed flash and died he was 0/1 after the death. Our support start pinging him ( botlane was ahead with 4 kills ) telling him "nice flash , trash jungler" he kept flaming him and jungler said : say one more thing and i will make u lose this game. Support kept with flame and this point botlane had 9 kills and jungler start running it down mid. We lost because of support toxicity.

Good teammate that's toxic, I mute all anyway.

Naymliss1/1/2020, 2:48:42 PM2 votes

I havent ever seen a player who is toxic and good, since normally people are toxic because they cant accept their mistakes. If someone is toxic and not making mistakes I'm sure that would be more bearable than the people who die then blame and flame. So I'm going with the toxic and good.

Bad players aren't friendly when they cost me LP... always give me the good toxic shitters.

It depends on what you mean by each of these. A player could be horrible mechanically but being helpful in chat, such that their bad positioning or misplays don't effect much in the long game.

Conversely a top 10 mechanics yasuo that stops playing the game to talk about how his teammates are "r%%%%%ed failed abortions that should uninstall," makes the game much more troublesome to play.

Because the thing is, if the bad player really is as friendly as suggested, it means that they will at the very least be agreeable and heed macro advise. Even a 1/7/3 Garen can help if they act as bait by hardshoving a lane with better team mates to back them up.

A win is a win.

I don't mind toxic good players in my ranked games or my normal games.

But I definitely don't want the bad but friendly players in my ranked games, norms only.

Would you rather have a GOOD TOXIC Team8, or BAD FRIENDLY Team8?

In the context of which one is punishable, the opinion of which one you would prefer is irrelevant.

People are going to play poorly because there are naturally going to be people at different skill levels in the game. Matchmaking is going to do it's best but it's not perfect especially in such a team-orientated game.

How a person behaves is 100% in control of the player 100% of the time. They make the decision to be malicious, there is no accident about it.

Being malicious is punishable by the behavioral system. Playing poorly is only punishable by losing more.

IMO, the actual PLAYERBASE (not represented by the overly-censored boards) would choose option 2 everytime. IMO these boards are completely out of touch with the actual players.

Then why the hell did you bother making a poll?

Toxic but 'good' hmm? We'd have to assume that they're jungle and only typing while moving in between camps or maybe a Yuumi player just to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're actually playing at their best and not treating the game as a texting contest at that point and even if that was precisely the case they'd still bait the rest of their teammates to invest time and effort into things other then playing optimally i.e typing. So I'm sorry but this argument is weaker then most people might have the impression. And yes, you can bring the argument of 'people can mute' but we've seen enough chat logs around here to know it's not an universal response, if only it were the case lol, so don't even bother bringing that one up please.

friendly team, from my experience toxic team members edge each other on, as the match progresses they spend less time playing and more time ping spamming and insulting other players.

Inkling Commando1/1/2020, 5:11:16 PM2 votes

being friendly and respectful is much better than any hard carry player who runs off rage.

Cycera1/1/2020, 5:16:38 PM2 votes

I mean, it really depends on the degree of toxicity. I don't want any people afking to flame or leaving or inting...

Kaelramus1/1/2020, 4:29:36 PM2 votes

I would rather lose a hundred games with a friendly player then win one with an asshole.

See my favorite type is an option that isnt on this poll. The ones who are Bad AND toxic lol, Im a jungle main, my absolute favorite players are the ones who die solo in lane (no enemy jg ganks) and then start being toxic towards me b/c i didn't win their lane for them :).

Sky Cardis1/1/2020, 7:06:42 PM1 votes

Victory is all that matters, you can ignore a toxic team mate (hell silently just report them after game and dont engage with them in conversation at all).

C0l0urless1/1/2020, 2:42:28 PM1 votes

I'd rather have a toxic good team. Just mute them and there are no downsides.
