Give us a fair fight: 4v5 games don't count. Leavers gain reduced LP.

We want the game to be as close to a fair fight as possible.

When a player disconnects from a game (2 minutes or more after match start) for a period of more than 3 minutes, that game should end so that the other players aren't forced to play a ruined match.

In ranked mode, a person who abandons a game should receive the equivalent adjustment of two losses, and there should be a highly visible, obvious warning at the beginning of the match (I'm thinking flaming letters and a Wilhelm scream).

Players who frequently abandon should receive a long-term reduction in the amount of League Points they gain from matches, to further discourage abandoning.

I also recommend reaching out to players who have disconnected with a survey box to ask why they disconnected- was it a software issue? Hardware? Was it a problem with the match they were in? Did they have a problem with a particular player? A person who is having a problem is more likely to share it if they are asked.

In these cases it is important to remember that the individual is being punished in order to improve the quality of life for the majority of players. One quitter can ruin the game for up to 9 other people.
