Facebook friends

Hi everybody and Riot

Right now, I want to add a friend to my friend list. He have said his name and I type it in, but I can't find it. He's in Eu nordic and east, while I'm in West, we live in the same country, my mistake. Question: Is it not possible to find your friend either in League or on Facebook, if your not on the same server?
