There is nothing more tilting than seeing that one frame where hook abilities split into 2

So you're telling me it missed... but then spawned a matching twin 5 inches to the side and snapped onto me anyway?

Good game.

It doesn't split or change direction, the edges of the hitboxes met and it centers the animation (so it's not hooked onto just a pixel or seemingly nothing).

Because hitboxes in this game don't work like this

Thresh hook for instance isn't something like -----------------------------------------------, it's more like -------------------------------------------) at the end, this is why it looks surprisingly stupid, since it doesn't match the visual

That's visual inaccuracy that randomly occurs, everyone in the game sees it, the hooker and the hooked. The hookers are usually oblivious to this phenomenon sadly. It has nothing to do with hit boxes of course.

It's not just hooks, it's just especially aggravating in regards to those. It happens to pretty much any skill shot. It may randomly appear to hit the wrong area.

Lolipop effect is very fun. Pyke has the effect on his hook too, enjoy.

I don't have the source, but this was an Ask Riot thing a bit ago so it shouldn't be too hard to verify/find. They state that the hook on Blitz and Thresh reach the end of their range- and right at the end, and only at the end, it does a little "circle." So it does go a bit farther in every direction, leading to some bullshit grabs/hooks. They explained it was to help offset lag.
