Im stuck playing NA servers in japan for the simple fact that I only speak english. Im here for a long time thanks to the military and my favorite past time is playing league. What i dont like is the fact im getting these lag spikes of 800 ping and wont allow me to play ranked without feeding or causing the team to lose. Riot. Why did you jump my ping from a steady 100 to 190-800 ping? Are you going to address the people and the server issues for those that are playing in allied US territories any time soon? This is ridiculous. I've spent hundreds of dollars for a game that i cant play competitively. please fix this.

probably because they expected people in Japan to speak japanese and therefore use the japanese server. Just my guess. get rosetta stone.

Or play here on OCE, you can google the map and measure the distance you know.

Otherwise if you are tolerant enough to different languages, play on KR. I think Garena is region locked, you can't access to their server so don't try that one.

afaik there is going to be a japan server

for the meantime, riot cant really help you but if you can play on one of the closer asian servers you dont really need to chat just ping and maybe learn one or two important japanese words

I'm sorry, where's the United States Server? Last I checked there was none, but players in the United States connect to the server for their continent, North America. It's a little silly to expect to have the same quality of a connection when you're on a different continent.

There are players who play muting everyone and only using pings. I don't see why you couldn't do the same on a different server. Learn or Copy/Paste a few basic phrases (roles, "I only speak English", etc.). If it's too overwhelming to learn the shortened versions of those words that probably exist, use Team Builder. We live in a world where translation software is at our fingertips, you can get a pretty decent idea of what others are saying.

There's no Japanese servers, and probably never will have because of how PC gaming is so unpopular there.

Try OCE if you still want to speak English and have ok pings. Or if you don't mind not being able to communicate but better pings try KR.

....hate to necro this thread, but the majority of peeps on the japan server don't speak japanese, it's a mix of English, Chinese, and Koreans.

Don't think there is too much that Riot can do concerning physics... the primary reason for your lag.
