Why did Riot stop making seasonal maps? Where are they I want frozen rift :(

Too hard to make.
The current SR is basically a giant 3d painting, not a bunch of shitty low-res textures tiled together. Making skins for it would take a lot of time and numerous artists that are probably busy on other things (skins, champions, possibly other map updates). Butcher's bridge was a very low-quality map in comparison to summoner's rift, and it is smaller and not as technically complex (more repeating textures and geometry, smaller map).
why do seasonal maps when people just throw money at them?

by making less of that sort of thing they can make better everything else
Colorblindness issues, visibility issues with skillshots (think project ashe ult but on all the champions to some degree), and the new map is a lot harder to re paint.
Less emphasis on community and more on ESports. Still, Wooxy exists :P
The Map update made the map much more resource intensive so changing it without it looking really dumb and bad takes a ton of work.
It would be free and they don't give a shit about their players.
IIRC, Riot stated that they would rather spend those resources on things that are permanent and not seasonal.
There is a nice, player made, winter rift skin that I play on. It even snows!!
"Too much work"=too lazy.
Because Riot's too lazy to slap a blue-ish filter on the map and add a few snowy particles.
Meanwhile, in Dota Land.
They said they would love to make them again, but with how much work they would have to put in to do so, they won't be in a position to be able to any time soon. I assume after they update the client, update the rune system and fix other major issues, then we might have a chance of them making seasonal versions of SR, if something else doesn't gunk up the works. Even then, they would likely put it to a vote to us players as to what we want them to work on.

Priorities. Also, they are way harder to make as someone might think.
They have a lot work with chroma packs and release new skins. Seassonals layout or any chance to play without any struggles like DC, bugs are not worth to implement ingame.
Visual Clarity of the game. Hard to see a lot of abilities on a different color palette. Plus it's only the same season in half the world. So they would have to have different patches for different regions or end up having snowdown maps during summer in some regions.
I don't think that's so impossible to make. It didn't take them an infinite amount of time to make the new map. They don't need to make it perfect, but having the possibility of autumn/winter SR in custos will be just great. Yup it's different from just repainting it, but it's far from impossible.
Riot is just lazy! where are new map skin? new announcer? sandbox? so the list goes on!
They will make once they get a better map making engine
