champion ability kits and WTF
Whats going on? how come some champs have 1 ability that provide multiple benefits while others have abilities that only provide 1. This is a trend that ive been noticing on new champs, take ekho for example. His circle slows, stuns, heals, shields and allows for teleport there, yet in the case of talon half his kit is wasted on movement only. ive been playing for 4 years but recently i have found the new additions to be overwhelmingly uneven compared to older champs, in addition, the matches seem to be bringing the same champs over and over. Yasuo is another example of overwhelming superiority, with 1 ability he can jump multiple targets once, on theory that doesnt seem broken but in practice he can jump 6 time for each wave that comes by and he doesnt spend mana, he has a wall that blocks all range, not just basic attacks, which completely counters champs like lux and ahri with 1 ability. again lets look at talon an AD assasin that uses mana, can use 1 ability to jump to the enemy OR crit, 1 that allows to jump walls, and one that slows the enemy with aoe dmg.
The game is becoming more and more like league of broken and it seems like this is a marketing strategy. If it continues im afraid this game will meet its end since playing against broken is not enjoyable unless your are using them and forces the player to follow the broken model. im tired of using ahri but her charm and movement makes her competitive (broken cant beat charm) against opponents like them. champs like diana, talon, with their simple kits do not allow for competitiveness against such 1 ability multi-function kits.
Furthermore this new multi-function kits require players to study the new champs or find themselves completely clueless as to whats going on, which leads to team mates raging, which leads to a very unpleasant match all because they did not study/tested the champ. In the early days just playing against them showed you their strengths and weaknesses after a couple of engagements.
