mind boggling... how this game is "evolving"
I don't know how players can accept these facts:
-
that in low elo, Master players can only manage ~75% win rate. I've watched some streams. They're the top 0.01% of the player base, they stomp their lane, and yet they can't win 1/4 games because some games simply "can't be won?" Back in the days, players used to be able to win almost 20 games in a row if they actually deserved to be 1 or 2 tiers above where they played.
-
we've had the preseason, then this far into season 7, and skill levels in different tiers are not obvious. Damage had been done by the introduction of DQ. Placement matches were glitched. Solo queue (duo queue) will take forever to place players in the "right" brackets, and some players won't stick around for long. Win or loss, I see good/bad players in my tier and just wonder how they stay in the elo.
-
the number of players who complain in ranked is too high. As soon as a team starts losing early, players want to give up. The general mentality has become too weak. I feel as though players are no longer "trying hard" to win. Some people say that games are hard to overturn now. But I think players in general just stopped trying. Or the try hard players are quitting. Games are just as hard to turnaround than they had been in the past. You only got a few of those in the past too, and they were the best matches.

Riot always takes unnecessary risks. They change so much every season which causes balance issues. I see issues but Riot sees "meta." Then Riot spends the entire season trying to "balance." Why change something so drastically when it was already very good?
-
Introduction of strange champion kits. Simple champions somehow become too reliable or too unreliable. Complicated champions are either overloaded or too weak. Less of scaling aspect in general, having to due with many champions with some form of sustain/shield. Almost every champion has a dash these days. If they don't have a dash, they have self peel, some strange CC, or ms boost. Riot created champions recently that... have no place in this game. Either banned or just never played. Yet they have semi/global spells. I get it, it's a money grab scheme but... these champions aren't really helping players who are competitive. These champions are also... very frustrating to play against. Because they can survive in the weirdest ways.

Players trying to "break meta." Like... why? I mean playing some off meta, niche picks are okay once in a while but there are so many players doing random picks that are just not acceptable for the rest of the team. Then the entire team composition goes out of the whack. It's not just an autofill problem. Do players really have to play that one champion to make game that much harder for the rest of the team? If they can't even perform decently with a generally accepted to be a strong champion, how do they expect to perform well with an off meta pick?
TLDR: This game is boring now that I've played it for too many years. I'm just going to stick around until Lost Ark or Lineage Eternal gets released and switch over. I used to be a dota player... then Valve f'ed up Dota 2. So I played League. Liked it for a bit. Blizzard f'ed up SC2 and D3. Didn't bother with Overwatch because it's obviously garbage. Just going to play an RPG next.
