Block The Pings Please?

Alright I'm a pretty gentle soul. I get snappy at times, sure, and I might not be the best player(No seriously I'm not), but for the most part I tend to avoid griefing and otherwise causing problems.

Obviously nobody is perfect, and I know that to be a fact, so I know eventually I'll have a teammate who is...shall we say "Upset"?

And so I tend to mute them. Out of sight, out of mind...oh crap.

PING PING PING PING PING PING PING PING PING PING PING

Why can we not ignore the pings of people we put on mute? Or give us a "ping mute" button? Because I'm very very very tired of people who constantly ping non-stop all over the place for...well, nothing. I am getting no benefit out of their pings and only becoming more disgruntled.
