Jinx, is she too strong?

So Jinx is right now a strong pick mainly because she is really good at everythin but lacks mobility, which right now is not that big of a problem when assasins have been nerfed. This is not a thread where I complain about her that even though I think she is a bit overtuned, I really wanna know her weaknesses besides her lack of mobility so fill me in :).

"lacks mobility"

Runs around like a fucking retard after her first assist or kill.

She doesn't need mobility on her abilities, as her passive which is like the best in the game will do it for her.

hasnt dropped below a 55% winrate for over a year, id say she needs a gutting more than any other champ in the game, especially since adcs in general are weak now so she isnt worth banning in comparison to junglers or solo lanesr

She has the lowest base AS of her class, making her dependent on ramping up that Q. Since most Jinx players rush IE first, then PD, punish her early. Since she depends on her Q for her AS, and she doesn't rush AS items first, meaning it takes more time to get those autos in to get the max AS from her Q (you following me here?), it's reasonably easy to bully her early game.

If you zone her out from her cs and she takes a couple seconds from autoattacking, she's got a low base AS and that gives you time to punish her especially early. Champions like Corki Lucian Graves and maybe even Ezreal should be able to help you with that. Supports like Leona Annie Blitzcrank or hell even Lulu can make her life hell. Possibly Lux Morgana

Edit: Well excuse me for trying to give advice to make her less oppressive...? I'm just trying to help. There's no point in saying someone is OP if you aren't willing to try to find a way to beat it. Advocate a nerf, but don't act completely helpless.

apparently all players can say is lack of mobility here ill give u a real answer. Her weakness is her lack of infighting AKA close range combat. Notice whenever you get close to a jinx and start a trade the 1st thing she does is try to gain distance flash, heal whatever it takes to gain distance on you. She does this for two major reasons. 1st her burst is not that strong shes more of a damage over time champion which is what I like to call her. 2nd, her zap becomes unreliable and too predictable at close range, it becomes much easier to dodge which lowers her overall dmg as it takes a nice chunk outa you when she lands it. Champions like graves and twitch are her issues as they get in close and can out burst her with ease. Her only escape is flash and heal against these champions and both can catch her by surprise with a dash or invisibilty to get in her face.

AOE crits baby, no other ADC can do that as easily as Jinx. She maybe strong, but in general ADCs have a hard time in the current tanky meta.

I don't have a ton of experience playing Jinx but I main Miss Fortune and see her often but my sister does main Jinx and from watching her, Jinx does have a high skill base and 3/4 of her abilities are significantly easy to dodge with the exception they're fired at dangerously short ranges, lessening their effect and overall reason to even use the ability over auto attacks.

She can run out of mana pretty fast and is skill shot based. I don't think she's overpowered in comparison to other ADCs unless you can't counter her aka right click out of her abilities? It clearly shows where she is using Zap and it actually takes a second to fire, even her snares you can walk over because they take time to activate. As for her ultimate it does far less damage up close and if a Jinx can snipe you across the map then it's a reward for being experienced with her rocket.

I suppose they could reduce her range on pow pow a bit. Might work without gutting her.

well the lack of mobility is pretty severe if you face a strong assassin or a dive-comp. However, as she snowballs fights incredible hard with her passive anyway and has one of the best all ins during the laning phase i wouldn´t mind them taking away her AoE-Crits.

If you are looking for ways to punish solo-Q Jinx players, then it shouldn't be too difficult. Have an ADC who can trade well, such as Lucian, and a descent engage support, and punish her subpar early game. Especially at level 1, since most players will take her Q for the passives on it, meaning that she'll have no abilities until level 2. Zone her from getting CS, and have your support punish her for walking too far forward.

Honestly though, the lack of mobility is somewhere that you can punish, but not very easily. You can engage on her without too much trouble, and if she pushes her lane too hard (such as with Fishbones), then a descent jungle gank can get your team a kill pretty easily. A good Jinx, though, can be difficult to punish. They'll probably try to not push the lane, and they'll avoid trading with you until later into the game. However, doing so will make them drop in CS if they choose not to force you away from zoning them.
