Can you remove champ shards from Hextech Chests?

I've opened 3 chests since the preseason update. Got 2 champion shards and 1 skin shard. I dont need champion shards, especially cuz you get so many from levelling. Yes in the past it was fine as the only way to get champion shards was through chests... but now you can buy champion shards and just levelling floods you with them. i have got 20 unique shards and another 10 that were doubles. It feels awful working to get a hextech chest and then getting a champion shard.

No idea why they went removed right away with the new levelling system. The way i interpret it is the LOOT system should help players get Loot, ie skins emotes etc. and the LEVELLING system should help players progress ie unlock champions. Last season they were combined since the champion capsules didnt exist. But now we have half of a loot system, and 1.5x a levelling system.

I see people complaining about not getting enough BE, in my eyes im getting far to much BE/champ shards and no where near the amount of skin shards i was getting previously.

I also feel the exact same way about the current state of this system. It is very disheartening to only be rewarded with champion shards while leveling up and then working for a chest only to get even more champion shards, all the while blue essence and champion shards are both of no use to me at this point. The rewards seem way too skewed towards rewarding players with champions rather than LOOT in general.

Fix: Remove champion shards from hextech chests. Add other forms of LOOT to leveling up rewards capsule

Yea. I feel they should give up orange essence in hextech chest and doing quests. Blue essence is easy to come by now and most of us have too many blue essence. Give us orange essence.

Atleast make it a special champ shards that gives a discount or a higher amount of blue essence.

This is basically riot giving out IP in Hextech Chest
