The main thing that annoys me about this game

As a person that used to play all the time and plays casually now, when I do play I can trust LITERALLY NOTHING.

Oh I used to know this really great ADC build from back in S7. No longer exists. In fact, I have no idea what I'm supposed to build on any ADC now. I guess I'm expected to go to a 3rd party site to see what the pros that are scrimming for 12 hours a day build. I mean I guess that's just a part of "pre-game" at this point.

Oh I know, I'll play an aram. Wait, no, I don't know anything about this mode anymore either. Half of the items and champion abilities are modified versions of their regular forms. Ok so on aram when I'm a mage ROA is op so I build that every time. Got it. Until a week from now when it's an AD item that only tanks build for some obscure reason.

Oh there's 5 new champions out since I last played all the time? Oh wait, they dumpster everything and render all champions they kind of resemble irrelevant. No worries, I'll just play that one champion I mained back in S6. Nope, got reworked, it's a completely different champion now.

I mean I think change is great but shouldn't it be carefully considered before it just gets inserted into the game? Or at least designed in such a way that it doesn't completely render a person's previous knowledge useless? A "surprise" in League, from my experience, almost always manifests as "wtf just happened, why did (I die there)/(he do that much damage)/(I not do any damage). The "meta-tax" just feels awful. Either you have to grind to be able to absorb it or you're useless because you're not up to date.

I get that for players on the grind they like this because it gives them a lot to chew on but from my point of view it's just too many unnecessary complications and not enough simplification and it feels like there's this giant wall of information every time I start up again before I can just play the game. And I've been playing for 3 years.
