Three Gameplay Suggestions for Aerie
Not all Keystones need to have complex Gameplay, but if Riot ever wants to make Aerie more interactive, here are some suggestions they could try out:
Suggestion #1 -- Idling in Melee Range:
Aerie can idle around the target for a short while after landing. Walking into her range snaps her back to you immediately. Extends delay if you do nothing. Delay when walking into melee range should be about the same. This allows for another reward, e.g. higher ratios, or a tiny amount of Movement Speed when collecting an idling Aerie, etc.
Suggestion #2 -- Ebb and Flow:
Aerie gains bonus strength if you alternate between shielding and damaging enemies. Another version of this could be Aerie gains in strength when targeting new targets (A --> B --> C --> A ...)
Suggestion #3 -- Rebound Shield:
You apply a tiny mark only you can see to allies you recently healed or shielded/ the most recent ally you healed or shielded. When Aerie is returning to you from any source other than a marked ally and walks past a mark, shields them immediately instead of further returning to you. Position yourself well while Aerie is returning and you can reduce the shield cooldown by about a second, or you can shield an ally even though your heals/shields are on cooldown.
