Can I get some tips on how to improve my yasuo game? I really like the champ and consider him my favorite, however I'm not doing well with him at the moment. I am decent when it comes to mechanics but I think I lack in actual game making decisions, such as when to go in and when to farm, and when to back. I also have occasional difficulty with all in champions such as fizz, akali and sometimes ekko, and I have difficulty against these annoying champs like heimerdinger, cassiopeia, and malzahar. I NEED TO IMPROVE.

However much it pains me to do this (I'm a malz main) I'll give you the advice on how to break malz. It's really simple, but might mean you have to learn wave control. It's really simple.

Level 1: Don't push the wave! So many yasuo's do this and this is exactly what a level 1 malz WANTS. Instead look to zone him off it. He needs to aa them to spread his malefic visions so just poke him and cs slowly.

Level 2: You're now up on CS. He might have used his malefic visions to blow your passive at this point, but that's fine. Look at his mana bar. It'll be dropping fast from his malefic visions no "pinging." At this point you can do him some damage if he tries to come in to cs, but otherwise just aim to target his voidlings. They take one ability to kill, and it REALLY screws up his waveclear. This is probably the biggest thing you can do against malz.

Level 3-5: Continue to zone him, you have kill pressure now and he knows it, so just use your mobility to avoid his Q, kill his voidlings, and zone him from hitting the minion with maelfic visions until it runs out. Try not to push the wave until after this has run out and hang around to kill the voidlings. He will curse you forever.

Level 6: so if you haven't killed him by now, feel free to. He's already down on CS drastically, probably still level 5, and you can easily tower dive him with your ult if you hit a whirlwind. aim for a QSS asap as his ult is really you have to fear, and then only if you're jumping him under tower.

Level 6+: Push waves, roam, and kill Malz whenever you get the chance. He has no kill pressure on your as you have QSS, he needs 3 items to do any real damage, and until then he's free gold for you. Even after then the QSS will save you from taking much damage and you can easily reach 2-3 levels above him by level 10 if you play it right.

Lastly remember this: Yasuo is amazingly overtuned. He has SO much power in his kit that people can do almost anything they want with him. The best yasuo players in the world know this, while the worst believe they are the underdogs that have to get ahead early. Be patient. Don't be afraid to go all in, but don't get caught up in the "I'm a yasuo so must get fed" mindset. one good fight with yasuo is all it takes, while it takes several bad fights for him to fall behind (he has a 2 item powerspike while malz has a 3. Advantage Yasuo :P).

I'm kinda split in my hopes you find this useful because I love my malz, but also want to help, so I will say good luck, and if you end up playing against me then forget everything I just told you :P

I like defense items. Like before I could build full crit early because scaling armor yellows and scaling mr blues with the old rune syste. Now if I'm facing a leblanc I'll just buy item 1033 one pot starting. Than build that intoitem 3155 and start building crit dmg including. if I'm facing a talon or zed, it really depends on how much I'm getting my ass kicked. If it's like something that's going to be a problem all of laning phase than I'll do this. item 3076 item 3047 item 1038

i don't get why people link their op.gg instead of a replay when asking for advice

there's nothing we can give you based on op.gg other than shit you've heard a thousand times before. "die less, participate in more kills, cs more"
