About Karthus Lightsbane's Q

So, I've been playing Karthus so much I kinda main him atm, because he shits on people so easily at this elo. I've been wanting to buy the Lightsbane skin, because its the only one with particle effects, and its pretty cool, until I heard this thing about how the Lightsbane skin makes his Q easily visible. Is this really true, cause I can't really say. If so is it that noticeable...?
