The Current state of Aatrox

While I like that one of my Favorite champs in the game got to see some change, the change seems (at least to me) to feel more like i'm playing Riven if she had three knock-ups on q instead of one, his w is a skill shot version of her's but without the stun and easily avoided and his e is her dash with out a shield only their ults are truly different. I was wondering if a revert to his old style of play is feasible to go back to? Personally I loved his old style of play made him feel unique and rewarding to play if you mastered him because now I don't want to play him and is just as unseen in my games played as before only difference is Riven does it better so I'm bound to see her rather than him.
