camera control help

I suck at using free cam, but I don't usually look more then a couple hundred units ahead of me. I figured the semi lock camera would e perfect, but when I lane with it it feels awkward. is it possible to make it so that my camera is normally locked, but I can press a hotkey and activate the semi lock?
