Clarity, and it's place in League

The beginning of S4 we saw a sizable QoL change to Heal which allowed it to be more diverse in various situations. It can be used as more than just "bait" now, it can be used as an escape or even a re-innitiation as well with its movement speed effect added on. Not to mention it allowed you to heal another player for a noticeable amount.

Clarity is basically the same spell, just replenishing a different resource. I feel like if it's brought into a game, it's primary purpose is to help sustain laning phase, just as heal was in days of old. I'd like to gather the communities creative/constructive thoughts here, if we could, to give Clarity the same love and possible viability in the game past the laning phase.

My first thought would be a very temporary CDR buff that last X amount of time, say around 20-30 seconds. This gives a minor window of opportunities for the Champion to use their ult or otherwise long-winded abilities to benefit from that CDR buff.

Observing the way it currently works, you only benefit from CDR if you use the ability when you have CDR already. Meaning if you use an ability with 0% CDR, and you return to purchase an item with CDR, your cooldown is not reduced from the time remaining when you used the ability pre-purchase, to the reduced remaining length of the cooldown post-purchase with the additional CDR.

Most of the summoner spells have no purpose once you unlock them all. I mean, how many people in ranked use revive, clarity, or cleanse. Barrier is used more, but still rare. Basically every game it is ignite, teleport, flash, smite, or heal (ghost is good on certain champs).

Im going to post what I posted in the last three clarity threads. Clarity should make your spells free and give you ryze's passive for 2-3 seconds.

Gives you one more round of spells on empty or puts something up a little quicker

Clarity is pretty bad. I think I might have used it as a place holder SS until I unlocked Flash on a smurf, but after that I never considered using it again outside of ARAM/trolling. Clarity is actually useful, in some situations as it can technically allow you sustain. It does what I feel it was intended to do, give you mana so you can stay in lane while your opponent is OOM and can't fight back. The problem is that there's a lot of resourceless champions now and they buffed passive regen way back and gave Doran's Ring that nice little passive. They basically killed the SS without doing anything to it, so I don't think there's much they can actually do to fix it besides making is OP, but I don't think that's the right way to go with it.

I wished clarity had some kind of refreshing cooldowns upon activation.

i like the idea of an instant cool down on all your abilities or just the flat cool down reduction for a small time it would be nice if they were to do something like that my thought was like for every ally replenished with clarity it adds a little more cool down reduction or a bigger chunk taken off the cool down of other abilities.
