Lets talk about Fiddlesticks and the bugs associated with him

As of right now Fiddlesticks is in a fairly decent position with good utility along with damage if built right. He somehow fits in the meta as a jungler or support if paired with the right teammates. However, there are some bugs and QoL changes that can be done to make him less finicky and more smooth as a champion. Lets go over what should be improved, and no this is not a "Buff Fiddlesticks Plz Riot" thread this is just to show what needs improvements.

Q - Fear

  • When Fiddlesticks uses fear on a champion but dies right afterwards, the fear gets completely removed. I've had it where I would fear someone when I ult but died immediately and the fear lasts less than a second even though it is maxed out. Youtube Proof

  • If you fear someone right when they are about to walk into a bush sometimes the sound effect will go off but the enemy is not actually feared. The skill does not go on CD but it is annoying because it makes the player think for a second that the fear went off. (No video proof)

  • Sometimes Fear takes a bit too long to work. A lot of times I've feared a Xin Zhao while he was in the middle of his Q and even though he is feared he still manages to auto attack me and knock me up even though he already turned around. This is a little more rare and not too game changing since it might be due to how fast the data reaches the server in my opinion. (No video proof)

W - Drain

  • When using drain on a champion who uses QSS or even rarely when interrupted, the drain animation will continue to go but fiddlesticks will not do any damage nor will he heal at all. This can be confusing to the player and make the fiddlesticks player act as a sitting duck. Video Proof

E - Dark Wind

  • Not too buggy right now. Maybe make a QoL change though that would make the crow bounce from the nearest targets and not randomly. I've had it where two champs are standing almost on top of each other but they're also near a creep wave and the crow would be thrown at one of the champs. The crow would then randomly decide if it would go to one of the 6 creeps near by or hit the other champion and it chooses the the minions instead. Now this isn't a bug but just Random events, I feel like riot doesn't want randomness and that's why they "nerfed" fear + dark wind previously. (No video proof)

R - Crowstorm

  • Crowstorm is Fiddlesticks' signature move. It's what makes him a decent champion, however right now there are some bugs that can be super super annoying to a player. Most blinks are set to automatically cast at the max range when you cast the spell further than its range (Kassadin, Flash). However, when you cast Fiddlestick's ult, if you cast it out of the range, he walks towards the max range, then casts it. Shouldn't it automatically cast at the max range, if you cast it beyond the max range, instead of walking to the max range? I don't think I've ever casted his ult with the intention of walking out of the brush I was hiding in to reveal my ult to the entire enemy team.

  • Twisted Fate's ult is the only ability in the game (that I can think of) that has the same cast mechanic as Fiddlesticks' ult and does require TF to walk within range of his target location. But, Twisted Fate's ult is more of an assault/utility skill so you would want to insert with precision. It is also nearly global so the fact that you have to walk within range is nearly irrelevant.

Lets make him more enjoyable to play Fiddlesticks

The part about having to walk towards his ult makes me cry.

If you would cast past the max range then trying to go over a wall from a distance would be hard because it would autocast when you go for it and potentially make you waste flash to cross the wall because you're used to the walking distance.

Get used to it.
