Reminder that Riot is not as creative as you think, and they probably hire the wrong people
All they had to do to keep old Aatrox was
1)tone down his healing 2)give him some built in toughness 3)Change his ult to a team fight buff of sorts 4)Revert his E back to doing magic damage 5)Allow him to move around like he can now while reviving.
That is ALL they had to do. The sad part is they will never explain to all of us who played him for years why that wasn't option.
But I will--because people at Riot always seem to be trying to out do the past. Newer champions have crazier kits, that take long paragraphs to explain. And probably anyone tasked to update a champ might be worried that he wont be viewed as original or creative if the changes are rather simple like I expressed above. So they have to go full re...uh, stupid...trying to prove to themselves and others that they can comp up with unique ideas.
And the game is less and less for it every season. A warped, sexist bro culture that consists of employees who knew the right people, rather than having the right skills.
