no Champion pool in champ select

I find it extremely annoying that I cant see the champion pool in champ select except for when I am actually picking. Especially when I am wanting to trade with someone and i cant look through my options. What is the point of not letting us see our champion pool until it is time to pick. its stupid af.

But why wouldn't you want to stare at the splash art of whoever the enemy hovers instead of sitting there going through your champions to see who would do good in a situation and possibly win you the game? Even though you can just look at the icon? Don't be ridiculous.
