How Ahri's W works

Could it be possible to make Ahri's W only hit a target as much as needed to kill it? Example: When Ahri Q's a minion wave and all the caster minions die but the melee are all one hit and you use spirit fire and all of them go to one or two when one will kill each. Kinda like how Lucians passive works when cs'ing. I think it'd be nice cause it'll be better for cs'ing and when fighting multiple ppl. If anything make it do that to the minions for better cs'ing maybe not for champs as you'd want to kill one person and they could heal but if all the spirit fire hit them they'd of died still.

Good luck charging your passive, when it actually matters, if it can't triple hit overkill minions. if you want Foxfire to hit multiple targets, position properly.

I'd prefer they just give her a different w entirely...

If Ahri has problems as a champion right now. This is not the cause.

If anything, have it focus on charmed targets.

then Alistar shows up and messes up your cs

If you put something like that in you run the risk of the spells not targeting champions when there are low health minions nearby. Part of using Ahri well is paying attention to your positioning, and honestly going into the mid and late game a should be more than enough to wipe out a wave provided that you save it for when they're getting to be about half health. Save your W for when you absolutely need it, as it's actually a pretty awful farming tool for the reasons you described. It's used to add a bit of damage when zooming around with her ult, not necessarily to farm.

I think that Ahri's Fox-Fire needs to maintain the ability to over-kill units.

I think that if there are other units in range, it shouldn't over-kill units, especially if a unit will be killed by a fox-fire.

Fox Fire is one of the weirdest skills in the game, actually. Every separate orb counts as a single target magic damage attack. So it procs Muramana three times, it applies spell vamp as a single target skill, and it applies Rylai's as a 35% slow. And the first orb will pop spell shields.

Weird skill.

It's just weird it doesn't have smart-targeting.

Lucian gets champ prioritization and a targeting check in between the attacks for his passive.

How come Ahri isn't allowed to optimize her damage?

Ahri can CS in lane easy enough without this change.

And how about, if it doesn't priorities champs then it should, and have it so that its only hit enough to kill only works on minions, not champs.
