I don't get why so many Udyrs keep taking Ghost...

Yes, I KNOW Udyr needs to stick to targets in teamfights because he's the most short-ranged champion in the game (ENTIRELY melee). But you know what Udyr is good at? Running around really fast so he can punch people. You know what Udyr is SHIT at? Getting over walls, blink-dodging critical skillshots and gap-closing onto enemies before they can react. You know what Ghost helps you do? Run around really fast. You know what Flash lets you do? Get over walls, blink-dodge critical skillshots and gap-close onto enemies before they can react.

Every time I see an Udyr jungle with Smite and Ghost, I automatically dismiss him as a noob, and I'm usually right to do so. This isn't Dota 2, you can't buy a Blink Dagger (while if you REALLY need on-demand MS you CAN buy a Righteous Glory). Without Flash you can't do Flash+Bear Stance stun ganks, you can't dodge that pivotal Dark Binding/Solar Flare/Rocket Grab/Rupture that seals your fate or prevents you from reaching your target, you can't flash over the back of Dragon or Baron pit to make that pivotal Smite steal, and you can't chase opponents over walls when they Leap, Tunnel, Hop/Crunch, Valkyrie, Arcane Shift, Relentless Pursuit, Rocket Jump, Dragon's Descent, Living Shadow, Shadow Dash, Spinning Slash, ward+Safeguard/Leap Strike/Shunpo, or (get this) FLASH over them to get away from you (or pursue your fleeing teammate, leaving you out of the fight). This isn't like building nothing but damage on an assassin (you can never have too much damage until you're literally OVERKILLING the enemy in 1 shot), nor is it like taking Ghost on Olaf, who also needs to stick to targets but only has a slow for CC and only gets a single second of MS boost at the start of his ult. Udyr already has one of the highest base MS in the game (345) and rank 5 Bear Stance is one of the best chasing tools in the game. You do not need Ghost on Udyr, while giving up Flash leaves a COLOSSAL gap in his capabilities. So stop it.
