Why can't we have Kass ult's range increased as it stacks up?
One stack: 550 Two stacks: 600 Three stacks: 650 And so on.
One stack: 550 Two stacks: 600 Three stacks: 650 And so on.
I think it might be cool in reverse actually. It let's Kassadin be more likely to kill/escape with the first jump but plays with the cost increase to make subsequent jumps more of a price.
One stack: 700 Two stacks: 650
And so on. Might be cool.
I suggested this as a potential fix when they first introduced the nerf to Riftwalk, but people downvoted it for some reason.
Either way, I think its a great way to keep in line with the intended power of his ultimate without destroying his ult's identity.

I think a simple system would be for it to scale with the Ultimate level:
Level 1: 500 Level 2: 600 Level 3: 700
Don't get me wrong, laning against a Kassadin with anything that's not AD was a nightmare once he hit 6, and that power should definitely be adjusted, along with his roaming power. But a champ who's "defined" by mobility should probably be better at it than pretty much everyone else.
I thought you wanted more range on Petrifying Gaze. Kass not Cass Cuz...
for clarity, something with growing range on ennemy champion seems a bit hard to introduce if it has no limite (imagine how you can block his escape if you don't know visualy how far he can get).
On the other hand, as I read above, reducing the range as he use it wouldn't introduce this problem as, if you guess he is max range all the time you still manage to catch him in a area

Why can't the cooldown just be upped and be done with it. I'm sick of his identity blah blah blah. As long as he can jump around the way he does he either won't do enough damage to do anything meaningful or he'll be perma banned always. It's past time for Riot to give up on this one and just rework his ult.

League of Legends it is a beautiful game looks good play good, but the thing is league of legends is more ugly then fun. It never changes its broken game play. I have a PBE account more then Half a year I been stuck in that hell hole. I have been trying to play online for half a year. I finally got online a week I lost every single game.... Ill blame my rusty game play on it, but wen every game my team feeds sure I don't mind it hell at then end i started too. Then they started to surrender at 20, but that not the problem wen they left and went AFK god stop! If they didn't Surrender they trolled........ "I am top" I get on my screen, so I let him top. I am in a game; my game crashes form.... Not the internet, or my computer, but for not able to fix the camera. I had to shut off my game what do i get? A note says will you ever leave again? Of cures i said no i wont or what ever it asked. Right at this moment I get more roles who ask for top after in game? It was mind an I am getting shit from everything so I left the game I am not ragging i didn't cures them. I am tired of getting fuck in league. Now i bet at this moment I am getting reported. AM I TOXIC or am I normal gamer incognito not given hell, but getting hell form the other gamer fores to stop playing. There is even more but no need for me to rent, but please spread this. Fuck it get it too Riot. I am tired of this game it lost the good quality it one had sure its now open to more people, but its broken and need to be fixed.
That's actually a really good idea. Kass can no longer escape as effectively if he has to stack up his ult but at the same time he still is very mobile.

They just need to upgrade kassadin ult range in general.
Yeah the reverse range seems far better so he isn't a monster late game and so he can't follow up if he uses his ult incorrectly.
i think ramping up range is a great idea for a champion who is build around mobility.
can't wait for riot to do this and have people rage at the pure mana troll builds that will dash from 1 side of the map to the other.

I do like the reverse ideas I'm seeing in the comments here though, for having lower distances per stack gained; much more viable than nerf the range to oblivion and keep the mana & cd costs at ridiculous levels.
If it has a cap i agree but I just see a mana damage Kassadin gaining so much momentum that he'd have a damaging teleport.
I think they should make Kassadin ult range increase as 6,11 and 16... like 6: 450 (6secs CD), 11: 600 (7.5 secs CD), 16: 750(9secs CD) (like normal), in addition with increase in CD in ult... I'm no challenger, but I think this will be a big nerf to kass (not as much as it is right now) to his early game. Plus, his ult at lvl 6 at 450 already made him harder to lane early game (because enemy can gank because of his shorter ult range); therefore delay his late game scaling. In addition, if he is super fed early game... The extend CD on his lv 16 ult should delay the gap time between ult. (assuming the 20secs reset on kass still apply as normal). What do you guys think? This is just my opinion so feel free to disagree and reason it out :D.

I was thinking the exact same thing today. If they can make the range 550/600/650 at least on his 3 levels, it should be enough.
Rnage changes are inherently unfair. Imagine you are a Varus playing against a Kassadin. You position yourself such that his jump can't reach you but you can still damage their frontline. Wrong. It just so happens that ten seconds ago, Kassadin jumped twice.
If you can't reliably read an enemies ranges in a fight, you are completely fucked.
for one your lowest range is higher than the current kass range and two that would make him a a mana based champ that is probably the reason
