Tips For Playing Unlocked Camera?

I'm trying to learn how to play unlocked but It is not as easy as people make it look in videos. It feels very uncomfortable that I can't see on every side of my champion like I usually can when the screen is Locked, and this effects my gameplay. I also have trouble with manually moving the screen around.

Does anybody have tips for playing/learning with unlocked camera?

-What area of my screen should I try to keep my Champion positioned at? (As compared to always being in the middle of my screen when using Locked camera) -Recommended screen move speed? -How much should I use spacebar? -Do you ever hold down spacebar or just press it once? -Do you switch between unlock and locked? -Anything else?

center-ish, but the point of unlocked is that you spend a lot of time looking other places too whatever you feel comfortable with a lot probably not

I personally don't like arrow key or mouse scrolling so I mapped camera movement to ASDF so I can move the camera without moving my hands. The order for directions is Left, Down, Up, RIght, the same as vim cursor movement (or DDR arrows)

I also moved QWER to WERT because I don't like using my pinky for what is often the most used skill.

Use the space bar key ever so often and the camera will auto center on you. That's the only tip I can really offer, just takes practice.

i have my screen movespeed on 20% when I play unlocked, makes it smooth when I'm just laning and in teamfights

I try not to keep my champion directly in the center as that really takes away a lot of the purpose of locked screen. If I'm playing on blue side of the map, I try to keep my champ a little more to the left so I can see more of the lane. I wouldn't recommend having the move speed at the fastest level-- i keep it at its regular pace and only move my screen by lightly pushing my mouse to where I want the screen to move and keep it there. When I'm going back to lane, I like to autopath to lane and move my camera to other lanes (by clicking on the minimap) and quickly click space to go back to my champ. I hardly ever hold down the space bar since the weird blur of the constant background moving hurts my eyes. However, if you're still getting used to unlocked camera, I'd recommend holding down space when you're in teamfights since it's often difficult to tell where you are. Just something random-ish but playing with unlocked camera gave me a better sense of my surroundings and map awareness. I usually have a better idea of the range of most things and farming is SO much easier when your screen isn't constantly moving around. It's weird at first but you get used to nudging your screen around.
