Wondering state of ADCs mid
Thoughts on who's good there who's not right now? Not really inspired when I see people using lucian there, there must be other picks. I guess the classic answers are Ez Corki Varus but I'm wondering about anything else.

I like to play Graves mid lol.
ADC's almost always stay bot lane due to poor solo laning. That's why Lucian, Corki, Ez, and Varus can be used mid, as they're strong laners that can dish out early damage. Any ADC is usable in any lane, but the normal lane opponents are going to destroy you. Taking Caitlyn mid into Zed, Talon, or Katarina, or top into Darius, Camille, or Gnar is just asking to be reported for feeding. They need somebody else who can assist them in the lane, which is why they scale very well but require a support to assist them in getting to that point.
I dont think its viable to take any ADC in the mid lane because

They should be AP based and most ADCs are AD. Therefore the enemy team will easily just counterbuild with items such as tabi + any armor.

Most ADCs dont have good wave clear COMPARED to mid laners. So it'd be easier to shove a lot of the roster in and just roam.

You cant roam as a marksmen, you have lack of mobility besides champs like Ezreal but even then, Ahri LB Katarina can roam way better.

Extremely easy to gank. AP champs can dump their combo usually before dying ( Think what happens when you catch a Syndra or Ziggs they just unleash everything before dying ) while marksmen cant really do that. They are super easy to gank besides ( Ezreal but he needs a rework )
If you want to try it, I suggest Corki because Corki has a great kit for mid lane IMO, does magic damage and has a flying / dash
Varus could work but lack of mobility makes him very very easy to gank and solo kill.
Yeah that's why I was asking, but also about current strengths/weaknesses. For example Varus used to be "good" mid but it seems like he doesn't focus on using q anymore, what changed? Or Kaisa was clearly intended to have an AP build but I don't think people are confident about midlane with that kit.
Corky has been balanced around mid since his rework/update, with a lot of his power on the Package to roam. And since he has a jump and waveclear he's fine on mid lane.
And he's the only one played mid nowdays, Varus was killed with the Q nerfs and Ezreal well, he's still in a rough spot at mid but sometimes I see it.
Lucian is extremly bad into mid apart from countering kassadin (But this is because 99% of mids are bad into kassadin and ad Assassins cant really bully him)
Corki is extremly overated but viable Varus mid is bad Everything else is bad
I've always liked playing Jhin mid, usually only do it if someone on the team is a primarily magic damage dealing champion though to keep the other team from stacking armor.
