I have 47971 Total Champion Points on the new Poppy as a Jungler. Riot, let's talk.

I'll keep this short.

  1. Poppy is the worst jungler that is able to jungle that I have ever played. This is because she transitions poorly from early, to mid, to late. These transitions are poor because the weight of her Steadfast Presence passive isn't strong enough, and early purchases of resistances aren't effective due to the massive amount of penetration in the game. Make the passive on Steadfast Presence Stronger. I find her far more viable building more damage items than tank items on her.

  2. Poppy's Heroic Charge is not a good ability on its own, and should not of been kept in her kit without giving her the means to use it. The small speed boost from Steadfast Presence active is a poor way to give her mobility because it also takes away her anti-mobility tool when she needs it most. Also the cooldown on its extremely long. It's bad. This is easily fixable. A). Give Poppy's Iron Ambassador a speed-boost when you pick up her shield. This would make the entirety of her kit flow 10,000 times better.

3). Heroic Charge needs to have a longer stun range. 300 Units for a stun is extremely abysmal. It feels unfairly weighted toward the enemy than it is to you. Meaning it's easier for the enemy to avoid your stun than it is for you to get it off. Which doesn't make it very threatening. I've considered maxing this ability last actually, but I don't gain enough out of Maxing Steadfast presence.

4). Poppy's Ultimate is incredibly underwhelming unless you're using it purely for a gank/damage. It doesn't feel good to use this ability under any circumstance. Visually it's super satisifying, but it's more than offset by the lack of game impact it has. It makes people untargetable for some dumb reason. It's like if Malphite's ultimate made people untargetable. I don't like that i can't control the direction people are knocked back. IT feels like a very bad ultimate. And it's actually even more useless when you're ahead. Because you can already crush people in fights, so why make the fight take longer?

My favorite Rework was the Sion Rework. The abilities flowed well together. And he just makes sense. Poppy is the opposite of that. And because of that I think she is the worst rework ever done so far. The poppy identity is sort of there, but the gameplay is just really really off.

hoooooooooly shit OP you're fucking bad. if you think poppy sucks you're literally just not playing her well.

  1. poppy's early game is extremely powerful. she can counterjungle almost anyone and kill them early on thanks to her 12% damage on q, and the stun on E, plus her passive letting her soak up whatever they retaliate with. once you finish warrior, you'll be able to 100-0 any of their squishies in the game at that moment. afterwards if ahead you can go a second damage (maw/cleaver/titanic/etc.) and you'll still murder people, and then you transition from backline diver in to backline peeler in later fights by slowing and knocking targets back and away from your carries. your percentage damage on Q keeps your damage relevant at all stages of the game too.

  2. the range on poppy's E is insane. you can charge people through mid brush in to the raptor camp wall its range is that far. the stun duration even scales with the more points you put in to it, going from 1.5s to 2s.

  3. same as above. I have no problem with them buffing her E, it'll just make her even more powerful than she is already.

  4. you either use it as an execute, knock up divers, or you use it as a knockup so you can reposition to e your target in to a wall.

let's just ignore the W which denies champions full parts of their kits. tristana basically doesn't have a leap if against a poppy, thresh can't lantern people away, lee is basically a walking ward if against poppy and so on.

i recommend actually getting good at her and then coming back, because she's super strong and will probably get nerfed soon.

Riot would't put out a champion skill with out it being what the ESPORT needs. Poppys ult was exactly what the ESPORT was asking for. It is so obvious that flinging enemies randomly back to there base was exactly the skill and counterplay void that needed to be filled by poppy.
