Support Summoner Spell

Was making a reply to a post I saw before it was deleted but decided I still wanted to hear and see others thoughts on this idea again. I know it has been around before but maybe more can happen with the new runes?

The original post the guy was upset about how support items are being used on solo laners. I am going to exclude the part I wrote addressing his ideas.

The idea of making those items summoner spell specific comes to mind again but that can be hard to figure as well due to variety of support styles. Suppose they could break the support items into colors like they do for jg. Have a summoner that acts differently on color. Red functions as ignite. Brown as exhaust. Blue as a targeted cleanse.

Ultimate Spellbook (the keystone that lets you trade out summoner spells) would let you change between the colors for free in shop. Otherwise you would probably need to sell and buy a new one for a different effect (debatable if it resets the gold income counter; I lean towards yes.)

That probably would have its own slew of issues though but it wouldn't remove exhaust, ignite, or cleanse from the game. Some laners/junglers might still be able to abuse it but would like thoughts.
