Eliminate Solo Que Champions = Improve Team Coordination
This was just a thought I had floating around in my mind since yesterday and wanted some feedback.
Do you think reworking champions to fit into team-comps and make all champions more inherently reliant on each other would force players to work more as a team out of necessity or do you believe it would simply do nothing and allow players to continue to act like the selfish, self-absorbed, brainless idiots that are so well-known for being the majority of LoL's player base.
I came to this conclusion because as an Udyr main, I specifically play the champion because I know he isn't reliant on his team-mates as much as other champions. He can get around the map and maintain his movement speed, he can opt into a tank-build, a push-build, or a dmg build, and his build options are so all over the place that he is never truly forced to conform to any one particular play-style in terms of what he aims to achieve. I love the independence and freedom this offers me as a player, but I do have to wonder what would happen if I continued to main this champion knowing that say, riot reworked his phoenix stance so the DoT/AoE aura did damage based on current health, making him into a tank melter. Would people pick up on that and would players in-turn become more focused on team-fighting when I pick him, or would the same issue occur.
One of the reasons I can't play Lissandra isn't because she lacks damage or anything (I mean she could use some quality of life improvements and maybe a slight buff on some of her other skills), but the reason I do play her on occasion is because I can cc the shit out of the enemy team or even potentially dive in if I have to and ult myself, providing a massive AoE dmg field and slow.
So I guess the real question I'm trying to ask here is should riot stop making solo-carry champions altogether and focus on making champions that fit better into team comps to encourage cooperation between team-mates, or are most players simply too stupid to pick up on this?
