can mages like karthus have a real damm keystone do we need another hashinshin mage player to RANT?

Comet was sorta intended to be that, but it's basically Aery for champs with hard CC.. they really do need to either update comet and make it more friendly to mages, or add a new one in.. or hell, rework phase rush, because noone seems to use it..
Comet works fine after you get Rylai's, or if you use W first. Predator also does pretty good, and gives you access to both ult CD runes (Ultimate Hunter and Presence of Mind), whereas with Sorcery you can only get one.
You can also try for Spellbook or whatever other keystone like that.
You're using an atypical champion of the roster. It's no different from Urgot going with a different primary tree than Resolve, despite being a juggernaut, or Jhin not going Precision, despite being an ADC, or GP not going Precision, despite being a...Skirmisher, I think.
Stop thinking "Mages can only go sorcery". Karthus doesn't need anything from Sorcery, nor does he really want anything there too badly, either, except maybe Gathering Storm.

they gave karthus 25% ap ratio on his ult as a compensation for not having a good keystone
