How high can you get with shitty internet

Yeah basically. Before the riot move, I was getting 30 ping at my lowest and 60's at my highest. (Terrible to challenjour players i know)

Now, I have to be lucky in order to get a consistent 60 ping in a game, am usually between 70-100. Bad days im around 200-300.

But, assuming your really good at the game, how far can you get with shitty internet like mine?

Seriously? I started playing League last year and I had a consistent 64 ping, and I got to Gold in no time. You should be having no trouble with 60 ping honestly. I don't get what the issue is. I've played on 30 ping too, and I can't see any difference.

Now after the move it is 93, and I still don't notice a difference. I'm Gold again, only this time I made it playing only support.

Around 200-300 you will start to see issues. Anything past 110 I can notice. Your ping will not hold you back from climbing.

You can go all the way to Diamond 1+.

It just requires that you adopt a playstyle that not many enjoy.

You have to be very good at the "macro" aspect of the game. Splitpushing, lane manipulation, objective control, powerfarming, etc.

Quas formerly of Liquid supposedly made it to challenger on 200 ping playing mostly Swain.

Anything over 200 is unplayable imo. You'll find yourself dead and back in base more often than not. I play on 30 ping when I'm at my work condo in Cali and 60-100 when at home in Las Vegas (south west remote ranch area) and my WR is exponentially higher on 30.

I don't ranked. But my usual ping is 290-300 and I find it fine. A random guy said I played like a high gold/low plat so maybe that's it? When I was playing at 50 ping in a net cafe, and used to rank many years ago, I was at 1500 elo. Not sure what that is now in terms of metal type, but honestly speaking I find no difference in the 50 ping and 290 ping. more than 300 is where it gets iffy.

I have 200 ping. I think it's doable, but only with certain champs. For example, with Udyr, things happen in strategy-time: when to push, when to join team, etc. The actual stance-dance works almost as well at 200 ping as it does at 0.

That's my advice-- if you pick champs that don't require laser-sharp reflexes, then your decision making will take priority. So. . . Sion or other tanky tops, Udyr or other bruiser junglers, etc. should still be viable.
