Solo queue playstyle in league of legends going away?

For people who play league of legends competitively, there were two rank indicators: solo queue and ranked teams. There was ranked teams for those who valued playing with friends and cooperative teamwork to win games, and solo queue for those who wanted to show their individual skill in the game. These different queues had different play styles: ranked teams required coordination and overall macro strategy, while solo queue depended on an individual's mechanics and ability to solo carry 1v5.

Recently, the game seems to be removing the solo queue play style by reducing snowballing and thus preventing good solo queue players from being able to 1v5. This came in the form of removing items like sword of the occult, increasing the cost of damage items, increasing passive gold gains, and removing last whisper.

Although these changes can make individual games more balanced, reducing snowballing has no real benefits in the long run because it makes more skilled players take longer to climb. I think a vast majority of players prefer solo play style and disagree with where the game is going.

So I keep hearing how the new dynamic que is the death of ranked, and while I may not agree with having 4 premades teaming up with one random. I do appreciate the team builder aspect of the new que. I want to play a specific role in ranked and not having to worry "midlane or afk" trolls gives me the peace of mind playing ranked.

Let's be real solo que is toxic and having a team builder will make it less so. Especially if there is a reporting system for people who choose roles that wasn't designated for them.

Allowing a fed player to 1v5 is way too much. This is why I despise Illaoi.

A fed champion should have significant impact but beatable with teamwork, not be unkillable and slaughter everything. A prime example is Rengar. When he gets fed he can snowball the map and really fuck people over. But he's much weaker in a team environment where people are coordinated and not five random chickens with their heads cut off. He can't 1 v 5, unless he's full build at 25. But he can pick you off, he will heavily punish mistakes, so on and so forth.

A fed player 1v5ing is terrible because the game then becomes insanely luck based. Let's say that a Blitz invade got this hypothetical hard carry a kill. They snowball with it against someone who might not even be their lane opponent. It was gg at the 1 minute mark. Cool game?

k. This late game carry gets killed the very next game by a Morg/Braum invade and is now useless. Did his skill decrease? No he just got unlucky.
