Does telling a Bronze Player he's bad help them or hurt them?
In my opinion it hurts, self esteem is destroyed. What little there was left. So, now what? Change all my champs again? Go to "easy champs"? The same cycle!

telling a bronzie (such as myself) he is bad doesn't help.
There are two types of bronzies, in my opinion:
Those that know they are bad, in which case it would be much more helpful to tell them how they can get better
and those that don't know they are bad, who will explode into a mound of toxins if you try to help them get better.
Tbh it has no effect at all. We have tons of bronze players in our campus club, and no matter how you try to help them it never seems to make a difference. You try to explain why rushing
+
vs
mid isn't a very good idea or why 12/14/11 29 cs on top lane ap
in a 50 min game isn't a good thing, but you end up
and give up after they tell you they know better than you because they have level 6 mastery on their champ.
Telling a bronze player he's bad does nothing but hurt them. Telling a bronze player how he can improve, or what he's doing wrong, helps them.
Um... is this a trick question?
Telling almost anyone "you suck" without offering a single bit of advice or reason is bad. It's not helpful, it's an insult. Even if you give them advice, tearing someone down often either makes them depressed or angry... both of which don't usually lead to them playing better. Depressed people lose morale and stop trying so hard and angry people tend to become stubborn and are unlikely to take your advice. They might even repeat their mistakes rather than take your advice if you're being a jerk to them.
You're a fool if you think insulting people EVER really helps them improve. Or you're just a jerk. If you want to help a bronzie you need two things.
Or just boost them. Riot has decreed that it's perfectly legal now.
That's the thing, that isn't enough proof for some players. some bronze players truly believe that they are amazing at the game. so for the players that understand that they are not great at the game and want to improve there is no need to tell them they are bad because they already understand that and have accepted it and want to get better. but there are a few players that don't understand that they are bad.
i have a friend who is legit bronze 5. he has played over 100 ranked games and is still in bronze 5. and to this day he still refuses to believe that he is bad at the game and that the only reason he is in bronze is because his teammates always throw the games and troll him. ive told him that he needs to stop thinking like that and try to improve his own play and that he will be able to carry himself out of bronze.
yes so if i was talking to you abut how to improve there would be no reason to tell you that your bad because you had the insight to seek out help in the first place. which that fact in itself means you already have a better understanding of this game than most other bronze players. i am by no means a great player but i am always looking to improve my own game play. as long as you understand that then you will get out of bronze or whatever elo you are stuck in it will just take time and the will to learn.
it hurts them, the vast majority of bronze is comprised of little kids. and they simply cant get better, even if you tell them what to do. its best to leave them alone.
Lyless if you are interested you should check out https://www.lol-coaching.com/ the coaches can really help you figure out some specific things you need to focus on in order to improve. i have no doubt with their help and your willingness to learn you will improve as a player in no time. there are some coaches that give free lessons try those out first!
There is no escape from bronze, unless this season... then there is boosted from bronze.
There are different types of bronze players. there are the players that honestly believe they are good and that they are trapt in elo hell. and then there are the players that know they are not good but want to get better. the first group is the group that needs to be told they are bad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8BtklaSWl0 This guy is a high elo player who gives advice and trys to help people escape their elo hell. he has done countless bronze to diamond in 100 games runs. so he knows what he is talking about. if you truly want to get better sometimes you have to be told the harsh truth in order for you to grow as a player.
