Ranking system

Ever since the new patch came out (6.24) ive lost every single game (pvp) ive been put with teams ive never thought of being that bad. and on the other hand ive been put up against players who's rank are 3x times higher than mine. Why is this happening? last patch (6.23) i was winning a fair amount of games, and now ive had to go to a bot game to get my FWTD bonus...
