your ganks pre 6 are not great you really need your ally to set you up for you to get into the lane and start a CC chain then drain. Where you position yourself when you start a drain is very important, you want to try to block the enemies escape. After six you want to jump into clumped enemies in choke points on the map. preferably set up by allies. And tower dives with zhonya's.
