Katarina Ideas
Note(s): “Feedback” means that I am either not entirely 100% on the idea, that I think it might be OP, and/or that I have no idea whatsoever. Q and E were inspired by Stickfigure Showdown 2.
Passive: If Katarina kills a champion, large monster, (or Feedback: X amt of minions,) her next Ability is Empowered and the cooldown is refreshed for that ability. Feedback: If R target is killed, R turns into Death Lotus for 3 seconds. Additional targets cause you to take ¼ increased damage but cause them to take ½ increased damage. Feedback: * Reduces cast time for abilities upon consecutive champion kills: (.375/.25/.1/0)* Q: Now called Dancing Blades. Katarina throws 1/2/3/4/5 blade(s) dealing 60/80/100/120/140 (+ 60% AP) (+ 80% Bonus AD) magic damage. Each additional blade that hits an enemy does 20% base damage. Similar to a skill shot, but with bouncing blade mechanics. Blades converge (hoam?) on target, and if not, an enemy champion close by, and then the lowest percent max health enemy with respect to the above. Minions and monsters take 1.5x damage. Empowered Q: For 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds, wind up for .5 seconds to throw a blade at a target. Deals 20/30/40/50/60 damage each blade. For a better visualization, it acts like Urgot E when they get hit by Q except more quickly but with less damage. (Feedback: Acts as Ashe Q on target while in range) prevents them from getting out of range if you have it, or acts as an escape.
W: Feedback: I can't think of anything.
E: Passive: Casting any ability will cause Katarina to leap or flip backward approx. 200 units while still using the ability. Active: Aatrox Q anywhere except it doesn’t do any damage. Brief untargetability period of .5 seconds. Empowered E (Active): Cleave through a target dealing 1.25x of Shunpo’s current base damage and same scaling. Become untargetable until behind target. Untargetable duration is about .5 seconds. Point and Click ability. Autoattack reset.
R: Changed to a marking passive with a weird active. A chosen enemy champion is marked as a target and can be dealt up to 5%/10/15/20% extra magic damage for Katarina only. If target is in range of Katarina, she is given true sight of them, and the target will know they have a hit on them. Damage ramps up on them for every successful hit against them as Katarina. When attempting an assassination attempt, any damage via external sources is increased by 40%/30%/20%/10%.
Feedback: Active: Death Lotus Same as before except it only targets the marked target. Channel time reduced to 1.5 seconds, and damage reduced to 100/200/300+(2.0x AP).
Reasons why: So her burst isn't as instantaneous and she actually functions like an assassin even if she's fed. The damage increase from external forces make it high risk and reward in a team fight, so that she can't assassinate the team unless she's very tricky. I also made her viable with jungling just a bit.
Thoughts: I think her W should do something about her AAs so she's not necessarily spinning to win anymore, but again, I can't think of anything that would work here.
