Is there a definitive way for the game to be played?

i.e. AP/AD mid, no supports of any kind allowed in any other lane, bot must have two people and those two must be an ADC/specific champs.

I'm just curious because A. I've been called a troll for doing things that aren't considered the "proper" way to play and B. I use to play mobas since the old Dota and there were a lot more "comps". I find it limiting to always play the same picks every game.

Sometimes the jungle would remain untouched and there would be a tri-lane or two duo lanes or whatever have you. There was a lot more opportunity for counter-play imo. It seems that most people I play with just automatically assume the worst and go on the offense (threatening/asking for reports excessively)
