And thus came the sound of a thousand furious fingers thrusting at their keys with the force of 100 enraged Alistars...

Alone with no team to back them up? Orianna.

When they have an entire team built around them (Malphite Sejuani Alistar etc) neither require any skill at all.

yasuo takes 10x the skill. Ori is a fairly easy champion mistaken for hard but great fundamental champion that all gold midlaners should play to help them learn how to play. Dont really recommend it for mid/low gold and below. Good for platinum and diamond players as well.

why is this even a debate? its obvious its orianna. only yas mains have the delusion of thinking that champ takes any bit of skill. same delusion zed mains have.

how hard is it to press E on 6 minions?

I have to give it to yasuo for one reason and one reason only.

Oriana has one of the safest farm lane play styles in the game, where she can take two defensive summoners and long range farm with her autos, her q and her W, if someone comes to gank you, you can speed yourself up, you can shield yourself, you have ur ult to buy urself time, and if all else fails u still have flash and ur second defensive summoner.

While I will say, yes, ori does indeed take skill, in low elo you can cheat your ult by placeing it on your all in, full tank malphite as he lands one of the easiest all in ults in the game to then wombo combo with ur own ult while the enemy team is ccd.

Ori does take skill, but she has short cuts bad players can use to make it look like they are good when in reality they are just using short cuts.

A yasuo though in any elo can easily get bullied out of lane from the fact he is a melee farmer

A yasuo can easily get counter built against from the fact hes a AD champion, thorn mail and warmogs are wonderful answers to him

Can easily get counter picked in draft mode, he literally has a million one counters.

Requires the team to go with him when he all ins, hes squishy as hell, hes not like jax who can simply all in and dodge everything the enemy team throws at him for five seconds (jax's E)

Once behind has to work his butt off to get back into the game for now everyone tanks more damage then he can deal

Can easily be CCD for while yes his wind wall is a amazing ability, it is a long cool down ability so once its down u have a huge window to abuse him

Ori you can fake being good on, yasuo you can not, this is why we only see yasuos who hard carry or yasuos who hard feed, their is no inbetween with yasuo players, while their is for ori players.

Ori bc her cast time it's so much slower and u need to keep track of ball

Yasuo can just use windwall and fight around it q aa q aa q e aa r free kill

They're pretty equal, both require good micro play and strong understanding of their versatile combat patterns to get the most out of, and if not they can use an ally to amplify there teamfight presence

They're also really squishy and its more impact full at different points for them, ori is really safe in lane but needs to play really well to not die in fights, yasuo by nature of his kit pushes really hard and has mediocre escape power, in teamfights tho this is less crucial

I wanna say ori but I main yasuo so everything that's hard for him doesn't feel very hard to me, my view is a little skewed

I've never even once came remotely close to losing middle lane against an Orianna , but I've been completely dominated my Yasuo on multiple occasions, so I'd say Orianna takes a lot more skill.

Depends on what you mean by "more skill". Mechanically? Orianna is definitely harder. Her ball mechanics are very unique and take a fair bit of practice to even start to use properly. Yasuo by comparison isn't that difficult mechanically; his difficulty has far more to do with decision making, decisiveness, and staying calm under pressure. That's why new Yasuo's feed so fucking hard: it takes a lot of practice to learn exactly what you're capable of and then having the composure to do it without panicking. Orianna by comparison tends to operate from relative safety thanks to being ranged with multiple self defense tools. Orianna is easier to play at an acceptable level but she's also harder to play at a dominant level. All in all, I'd take an extremely good Orianna over an extremely good Yasuo simply because she's a better, more useful champion overall, but that's just my personal opinion.

Kind of a draw in my mind.

Yasuo has more things he can do at any given point, partially due to his low cooldowns on Q and his dash. It gives him more opportunities to mess up, yes, but it also gives him some forgiveness of he does mess up.

Orianna has longer cooldowns, plus a delay on her abilities while the ball is in motion. It's less forgiving when she messes up, but she has less to mess up.

Lets see: Yasuohas a free self activating shield + AoE negation of all ranged attacks, most spells and effects _ Orianna has a targeted shield, single target, that has a delay time if the ball isn't already on you.

Yasuo can have infinite dashes and a knock to engage/disengage _ Orianna a speedup

Yasuo passive doubles his damage and gives him a free shield _ Orianna passive increases her autoattacks power, which doesn't matter much as she is a mage.

Yasuo seen in every freaking match, a common ban _ Orianna very rarely seen

Orianna, but nothing in this game REALLY takes skill.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL orianna BY FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR. what a question.

TacoKingIII1/7/2016, 8:38:36 AM1 votes

Both of them are easy, but put them in lane together and Yasuo has a higher chance of succeeding. Yasuo is a lot stronger than Orianna early game and for the rest of the game. Yasuo may be melee, but he has a low cooldown dash to get close to you anyway. Yasuo is also a lot safer as he has a windwall and a passive shield.
