you compare 2 different champions with 2 different kits with each other.
Akali and Kassadin are two pretty different champions mate. First off, Kassadin can't hold three charges of his ultimate and his actually cost a resource. Also, the rest of Kassadin's kit is absolute ass so he can have such a powerful ultimate. Also, Kassadin uses mana and not energy, which is better in 75% of situations.
Kassadin ult has high mana costs and has a longer cooldown until rank 3
Akali ult also has 700 range which is honestly ridiculous
Akali's ult is also longer range.
Tbh if you're using Akali's ult for damage, you're playing Akali wrong. Her ult is there to facilitate the rest of her kit. Akali already does a ton of damage with the rest of her abilities, there's no reason for her ult (which she gets to use at least 3 times FOR FREE, mind you) to do insane damage.
