first off, here are the 10 games in my provisional.

http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/204756622?matchType=2

so i ended 6-4, but heres the thing. not a single one of those losses can i say i contributed to losing that game. hell one of them it was 4v5 and we made it a close game (finally ended as nasus, kog, and udyr were too much and they won at 47 minutes).

just by looking at my games where can i improve to get out of getting placed in BRONZE 4! last year i only won like 3 provisionals and got bronze 2.

Well you asked for some people to tell you what you did wrong so here we go.

Game #1 Brand support

  • had both sightstone and yellow trinket (swap yellow for sweeper, sightstone + yellow is inefficient)
  • didn't pick up the blue support item (gives you ap, cdr, and a good amount of gold as your passive continues to proc it)
  • picked a fairly aggressive support to go with and adc that prefers a defensive laning phase
  • despite having both yellow and sightstone you placed less wards than your teams midlaner enemy support almost doubled your ward placement
  • 1/7/13 isn't a particularly great kda
  • lucidity boots are kinda meh on brand
  • granted you did the most damage on your team, but with that comp damage wasn't really needed from the support role. A tanky cc champ would have fit in more with team comp. Think Braum or ali. Alistar would work especially well as he is good for keeping leona off vayne.

Game #2 Jinx Adc

  • didn't build last whisper (BUILD THIS EVERY GAME AS ADC NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • built essence reaver (widely regarded as a pretty crappy item)

Those two things are really it, but the difference shows when the 8/19 vlad out damages you by 20k points. (you did 30k to his 50k)

Game #3 Brand Support

I'll give you this one. Your team did pretty bad here kda wise so I can't make any judgments without having seen the actual game.

Game #4 Draven adc

This was an afk game so I also won't count this one, but still follow the same advice I gave for jinx

ALWAYS BUILD LAST WHISPER NEVER BUILD ESSENCE REAVER

Game #5 Brand Support

  • Swiftness boots and brand support are something I disagree with heavily
  • other universal brand support things I said in Game #1
  • This one Cho was the MVP so you cant complain about your team all the time
  • kda was better her, but really any time you have 5+ deaths in a game you are dying too much

(skipping down a bit because the best areas to find mistakes are in your losses, but long story short you had some really great teammates here. You did ok, but in most of these nothing indicates that you were the driving force)

Game #6 Tristana adc

Not much to be said here. You and your support just kinda got stomped and lucian carried the game.

Gonna end it now as most of these games have pretty much the same issues

To summarize what you could fix:

  • try to avoid dying more than 5 times per game no matter how many kills you have
  • ward more (even with sightstone you don't ward that much. You should easily be placing more than 1 ward every 2 mins which seems to be your average in many games)
  • fix builds (many sources for finding build info)
  • Your 4 losses were all in a row and your played progressively worse each time. You probably went on tilt.
  • In many of your wins your teammates were clearly the primary reason behind you victory and in your losses you did just as poorly or only slightly better than they did.

Remember than the only thing that affects your ranking in a game is whether you win or lose. The reason being that there are too many factors in a game that can manipulate stats too base lp off of personal performance. Wins encompass all factors albeit in a very general manner. Because of this Victory should be your only objective. No matter how well you think you did there was always something you could have done better. The only way to improve is too focus on what you did wrong.

And the reasoning you placed lower may have been that your mmr dropped. I don't know where you were last yeah, but it looks like you hit a losing streak before the ranked reset. The reset this year also encompassed a soft reset to your mmr which Riot warned us would probably make us place a bit lower than were we currently were.

This isn't what you want to hear, but unless you win a game you can ALWAYS say:

i contributed to losing that game

short answer.. win more than you lose.. regardless of LP per game you will eventually rank up

I would also like to mention that placements this season were not rewarding. Many players were placed nearly a full tier lower than their previous placement. I was B3 last season, won 7-3 promo games, played in B5. If you were S4-5 last season, you would have been placed in B1-B2 since ranking isn't particular based on skill.
