An AD page, an AS page and an armor pen page?
I figure I need the AS page if I go against lucian. I cant out burst him, so i need as many autos as I can to even out the trade.
I need AD against jinx cause I cant out DPS her, but I might out burst her if I play well.
And I need Armor pen if im in a counter and I have to wait till lvl 6 to get a kill with my ulti.
AD, AD/AtkSpd and AD/ArmorPen are fairly common pages which can be used by a great many champions.
They would not go to waste.
I usually go standard AD for Ad Casters like lucian/ezreal and attack speed on adcs that rely on attack speed like kalista/jinx and I take armor pen on champs where I'm going for early kills like zed/draven. But as far as needing 3 different pages... any of those pages are really fine... the advantages they provide are small but yes, they might make a difference.... just a very thin difference

Armor pen is best for draven.. So just choose it always
try 6+ for mid lane mages. sometimes you want mana, sometimes you want pen, sometimes you want flat ap, sometimes you want ms to dodge things.... and then theres subsequent combinations.
put it this way, 1 possible red (magic pen), 3 possible yellows (scaling health, mana, armor), 3 possible blues (flat ap, magic res, scaling CDR). AP quints, MS quints, or magic pen quints........
lets not forget if i decide to play an AD champ like talon, zed or yasuo....
so tell me again how many pages you need.
All you need is one page. AD Marks, Armor Seals, Attack speed Glyphs, Attack Speed Quinessences
I have 5 rune pages all for Nidalee. Personally it makes me happy knowing I have this type of customization.
I'd start with just having an AD page with AD reds, health/armor yellows, ad/lifesteal quints, and mr glyphs. Works reasonably well enough on just about any AD champion and is pretty strong early game.
You can try other things like armor pen reds but I wouldn't really recommend it. Sure it scales better but early game is almost all that matters when snowballing is so strong. If you got more gold early game because of the AD reds you most likely have a better chance to win than if you used armor pen.
The only thing u will EVER need is Armor pen MARKS, Armor pen Quints, AD seals instead of Armor seals which u dont need since noone can trade with u anyway, AND u need Attack speed Glyphs 9!! :) On top of that put TP instead of heal which is useless anyway, it wont save u from certain death. When u do all that see ur score skyrocketing, and u dominate every match with this build. I win every game, and i get 20+ kills with this build. Runes above+ Rush ghostblade, then STATIK SHIV, after that B.F. Sword, then boots of speed incomplete ofc, and go IE. If u are lazy u dont need boots anyway, since u have Ghostblade :D Try this build out guys, im having a LOT of succes with it, and its fun (im Draven main almost 1 milion Mastery).
