Why do they say not to blame your teammates?

I know the answer and understand it. But people literally breathe eat and sleep that line. Like I get we need to stay positive, but when you get fed game after game and lose because your team will not cooperate or just isn't good at the game, what are you supposed to do? This is a team game and there are very few instances that you can 1v5 the enemy team. I started at bronze this season and now in gold and I feel that the higher I climb the worse this gets. When will we accept the fact that we sometimes lose games because of our team, and not because we ourselves need to improve? http://imgur.com/a/u5OoO http://imgur.com/a/z5NvE

Because you can't fix your teammates. But, you CAN improve your own gameplay.

"Oh, our mid died because of an early gank from the enemy jungler. Maybe I could ward river for them next game?" "Our bot lane died cuz the top laner made a good tp play while I decided to back. Maybe I could CC him next time first?" "Our jungler got invaded pretty commonly. Maybe next time I can ward up our jg?" "Our ADC fed like mad this game. Maybe next game I can do some tp plays myself to set up 3 or 4 man ganks?"

There's always something to consider you didn't do well enough yourself. It sucks, blaming yourself instead of the 2/25/3 ADC or the 3/10/0 midlaner, but it's necessary to keep improving.

Because there is always room for improvement. Doesn't matter if you're 20/2 300 cs at 20 min, got every drag and turret yourself, there was something you could have done better or more optimally.

Some games are just unwinnable because of our skillset combined with our team. A better player could have won. There is nothing wrong with that, just play more games. Playing better than your opponents consistently is all that that really matters to climbing. A one off game doesn't matter.

So basically,

When will we accept the fact that we lose games because of our team, and not because we ourselves need to improve?

Its both lol. **"we lose games because of our team" ** happens because **"we ourselves need to improve" **

I go into ranked fully expecting a bunch of chimps on my team. It feels worse the higher you go up because it is harder to carry.

These are all true and I don't deny them. But my issue is more mid to late game. I tend that most teams just don't know how to close a game or where to focus themselves. And if I try any say anything or shotcall, 90% of the time I'm ignored. Of course I know where to improve myself. But there's only so much you can do in a game. You can't be everywhere at once and help everyone.
